Prerequisites to meeting admission criteria for the RN-BSN Online Program are:
- Be a California resident who holds an active, unencumbered, unrestricted current RN license, or be eligible for licensure in the state of California by the time classes begin.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program* (an Associate Degree in a non-nursing major will not meet this requirement).
- Have 56 to 70 transferable units including Critical Thinking, Oral Communication, Written Communication, Statistics and Chemistry.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.75 in all community college courses required for the ADN, with a minimum of a 鈥淐鈥 in each course.
- Meet these major-specific degree requirements:
- BIOL 207: Human Physiology Lecture & Lab

- BIOL 201: Microbiology Lecture & Lab (General Microbiology for Health Professionals)
- Chemistry Lecture and Lab (4-5 semester units/6-10 quarter units): An introductory or preparatory chemistry course is not acceptable. A course in General, Organic, Inorganic, Biochemistry, Allied Health Chemistry, or Integrated Chemistry with a lab meets this criterion.
