Graduate Degree Programs
The Kinesiology Department has five options, M.S. in Athletic Training, M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction in Physical Education, M.A. in Sport Management, M.S. in Exercise Science, and M.S in Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology.
Students who choose the thesis/project track are required to complete a thesis or a project. The minimum unit requirement for both the MA and MS degree programs is 36 units with the exception of the Master of Athletic Training degree program, which is a 52 unit two year cohort program that includes clinical education.

Upon completion of the MA/MS Degree, students are expected to attain the following learning outcomes:
- Students will apply their Kinesiology-related knowledge and skills to think critically and ethically in examining issues and solving problems associated with their chosen subdiscipline.
- Students will communicate effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, in academic and professional settings.
- Students will interpret, evaluate, and apply the professional literature of their chosen Kinesiology subdiscipline.

The fund has been provided to support and encourage undergraduate and graduate student research, scholarship and creative activity under the guidance of sponsoring faculty members. Grants awarded from this fund are not intended to cover the entire cost of a research project; they are intended to assist a student鈥檚 research efforts. Research grants be awarded on a reimbursement basis or in the form of direct payments to vendors and suppliers.
The Center for Scholarship Information (CSI) is the official clearinghouse for scholarships at 新澳门六合彩资料. CSI collects, organizes, and distributes information on scholarships as well as administers specific scholarships for the Division of Student Affairs (University Scholarships) and supports all the Colleges with scholarships on campus.

The goal of this program is to provide substantive financial support to masters students who are conducting exceptional research, scholarly, and creative activities and who come from educationally or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The GRF award amount is $9,000 for an academic year ($4,500 per semester). The fellowship is non-renewable. Applications are due spring semester.
The CDIP aims to increase the number of individuals who demonstrate potential as doctoral students and who may be interested in applying for future CSU instructional faculty positions. The Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive loan is $10,000 per year for three years and forgivable for those with full- or part-time teaching appointments at a CSU campus.
The Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholars Program provides funding to enable current CSU students to explore whether graduate school is right for them and to prepare those who are absolutely sure they want to pursue a doctoral program in their chosen field of study.
The State University Grant is funded by the State of California to assist students whose ability to attend post-secondary institutions is jeopardized due to financial constraints. The award covers up to the amount of the State Tuition Fee. Students must be residents of California, demonstrate financial need, and be assessed state tuition fees to be eligible for this award.
Applications must be submitted no less than 3 weeks prior to the proposed date of departure (late applications will not be accepted). If you are traveling to present your own academic research, you can request reimbursement for transportation and conference/registration fees. If you are attending a conference for your own academic enrichment and not presenting research, you can request reimbursement for conference/registration fees only. Please visit to submit form.
HOGAR Travel Fellowship (WORD)
The HOGAR Travel Fellowship provides up to $1,000 to post-baccalaureate students enrolled in a 新澳门六合彩资料 master's, doctoral, credential, or graduate certificate program who are presenting at an academic conference. Funding is available for all students (including international, undocumented, and DACA students); status only affects the source of funds.
The grant can be used to reimburse 新澳门六合彩资料 students for conference registration fees, transportation, lodging and memberships if required to present, co-present, compete and/or conduct a poster presentation. Students presenting and co-presenting are eligible to receive up to $400.00. Students conducting poster presentations or participating in competitions are eligible to receive up to $300.00
