Previous Projects: Cambodian Tobacco Research Initiative

The Department of Health Science at 新澳门六合彩资料 and the Cambodian Association of America in Long Beach received a $106,456 pilot Community Academic Research Award (CARA) from the Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program (TRDRP), which resulted in the development of an academic/community collaborative partnership called the Cambodian Tobacco Research Initiative (CTRI). The research addressed three major issues with respect to tobacco use among the Cambodian American population in Long Beach, CA:

  • Factors that influence smoking patterns
  • Smoking prevention strategies

The Department of Health Science received a three-year $664,425 Community Academic Research Award (CARA) from the Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program to continue the Cambodian Tobacco Research Initiative (CTRI), an ongoing collaborative effort between the 新澳门六合彩资料 Department of Health Science and the Cambodian Association of America in Long Beach.
