The Center will evaluate the delivery of the activities of LB Activating Safe Communities (LB ASC) the degree to which services are implemented, and the extent to which targeted participants were serviced. The purpose of LB ASC is to reduce gang and street gun violence, specifically homicides and shootings, by targeting youth most at risk for engaging in or becoming victims of violence.

The Center evaluation team will evaluate the GM Online Grocery Shopping program to further assess the effectiveness of an online grocery shopping educational module developed by UnidosUS across 3 subgrantee sites across the nation. The goal of the online grocery shopping module is to increase access to healthy food in areas designated as food deserts and/or rural communities.

The Center has evaluated the Comprando Rico y Sano (CRS) project since 2014. The program focuses on training promotores to deliver nutrition education and facilitate enrollment to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The CRS program is implemented across 27 sites in the United States.

The Center research team assisted with formative research for the Escalera and Escalera STEM initiatives. Focus groups were conducted and survey data was collected from Escalera providers and participants to assess program effectiveness, involvement, and satisfaction.

The Center evaluated this NCLR-led project which aimed to assess the effectiveness of a store tour and group education sessions to increase nutrition knowledge, self-efficacy for purchasing health food products and maintaining a healthy weight. A total of 1,409 adults from three community-based organizations in Los Angeles, Tucson, and Houston participated in the intervention.

The Center evaluated this NCLR-led project to design an intervention intended to improve Latinas鈥 cervical cancer prevention knowledge, attitudes, self-efficacy to obtain a Pap test, and intention to get tested.

The Center evaluated this NCLR-led project. It aimed to recruit and enroll Latino older adults with Type 2 diabetes to engage in group education sessions to improve glucose control by increasing
diabetes self-management knowledge, self-efficacy, reducing barriers, and promoting glucose testing and regular doctor visits. A total of 109 participants from a community site in San Antonio enrolled in the study.

The Center evaluated this NCLR-led project conducted with three community-based organizations in Union City, Miami and El Paso. The purpose of the project was to conduct formative research to develop a depression intervention project for older Latino adults. A total of 380 Latinos participated in the study.

The Center evaluated this NCLR-led project to test the effectiveness of the NCLR promotores de salud (lay health educators) model to increase the genetic literacy of Latino populations using a family health history approach. The project was implemented at two community sites in Washington D.C. and Oakland.

The Center evaluated this NCLR-led project which aimed to increase nutrition knowledge, improve dietary intake, and promote physical acticty with more than 6,000 Latino adults at six different sites accross the country.
