Welcome to another inspired BEACH Women in Engineering Conference, right here on the campus of California State University, Long Beach! We are so excited to put this conference on for the 5th consecutive year – it is certainly turning into one of the flagship events for the College of Engineering!

Our keynote speaker this year, Laura Guio, is a global leader in AI strategy and is not to be missed. We have technical sessions on a wide array of emerging and enduring areas of engineering and computer science as is our tradition, in addition to professional sessions and our signature Coaching Circles. All sessions feature women speakers who are practicing engineers, and are here to share knowledge of their industries as well as their advice and wisdom. Come and learn about what awaits you after school, and how you can make your mark on this world.

We have another amazing conference team this year, without whom this event would not be possible. The Conference Chair is Sandra Labib from Intuit, an alumna from our college who will bring her unique touches to the event. The Chair of 100+ Women Strong – the host of this event – is Holly Craig, who leads the steering committee in organizing the Coaching Circles and inviting speakers. Roni Allen provides expert logistics support, and college faculty and staff moderate the sessions. Finally, a huge shout out to our sponsors – we are so grateful for your partnership and financial support.

I am looking forward to seeing you all on our campus. May we all unlock our potential for the benefit of humankind.

GO BEACH!

Dr. Jinny Rhee Dean, College of Engineering
