Program Educational Objectives
The objectives of the B.S. in Electrical Engineering - Antelope Valley program are to produce engineers who can innovate and advance in their chosen careers in industry, academia, and public institutions, while making creative contributions to the field of electrical engineering. The Program Educational Objectives are outlined below.
Our graduates:
- Are successfully employed at the place of their choice.
- Integrate well within their working environment and lead others by using their effective problem-solving and communication skills.
- Remain technically competent and responsible engineers with an awareness of ethical and socio-cultural issues.

Student Outcomes
The EE student outcomes are the same as the ABET student outcomes (a) through (k) as listed below:
a. an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering
b. an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
c. an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
d. an ability to function on multidisciplinary teams
e. an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
f. an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility
g. an ability to communicate effectively
