In addition to the financial aid office, the academic centers, departments, and programs on campus allocate funds to help students finance their education. The campus is also a major employer of students, offering many part-time opportunities that help with professional development.
- Financial Aid and Scholarships Office serves all students and helps them meet their academic goals. It works with students and their families to meet the demonstrated financial need of students who meet all deadlines and eligibility requirements.
- Graduate Center provides students with information about on- and off-campus funding opportunities, including scholarships, fellowships, and travel grants. Staff are also available to support students with application documents on an appointment or drop-in basis.
- The primary emphasis of the is faculty-student research engagement. The office provides leadership, information, direction, resources, training, and technical assistance to faculty and students engaged in externally funded research, instruction, community service, and other scholarly activities.
- CareerLink is an аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ online resource that lists thousands of full-time, part-time, federal work study, and internship positions. This service is free for all students who can access CareerLink through their Single Sign-On portals.
- Federal Work Study is a federally funded program that provides employment opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students with the greatest financial need. The amount students can earn is listed on their individual award summaries.
- Many аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ academic departments have Teaching Associate (TA) and Graduate Assistant (GA) positions available for graduate students. Openings are listed by college. Students should contact their department for information about openings.
- The Financial Aid and Scholarships Office is the official hub for scholarship information at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ. The Financial Aid and Scholarships Office collects, organizes, and distributes information on hundreds of external scholarships as well as administers scholarships on behalf of the University.
- The Graduate Equity Fellowship (GEF) provides financial support to master’s and doctoral students who contribute to diversity, advance equity, and/or promote/contribute to the public good in their field of study either via scholarship, research, and creative efforts or via active engagement in programs or activities. Applicants must be nominated by a faculty member. Contact your graduate advisor for application procedures and deadlines.
- Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholars Program provides funds to current CSU students to help them explore whether graduate school is right for them and to prepare those who would like to pursue a doctoral program in their chosen field of study.
- program provides need-based awards to eligible undergraduate and graduate/post baccalaureate students who are California residents or otherwise determined as eligible, such as AB 540-eligible students. Students that apply for financial aid via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act application (CADA) are automatically considered for a SUG by the campus to which the student applies.
