The target audience is Defense Language Institute-trained, college-educated, native, or heritage linguists at the ILR 2 to 3+ level in two modalities. Prospective students must have the approval from their unit chain of command (such as their commander, CLPM and/or supervisor and have no disruptions to their intensive language training) The 新澳门六合彩资料 LTC program does not charge tuition to military or DOD civilian personnel.
新澳门六合彩资料's 16-week hybrid language mentor (HLM) course capacity per language is five (5) National Guard, active duty, FAO, Reserve, or DOD civilian linguists. There are two iterations per year of these five HLM courses, one in the fall and one in the spring. Eligibility requirements are: DLI-trained, heritage, or native linguists at the ILR 1 to 3+ level. Servicemembers (SMs) will coordinate one hour of synchronous language learning each week with the instructor. Students must agree to spend an additional hour outside of class preparing for their synchronous one-on-one class. Students must also agree to take a pre-test and a post-test as part of the course of instruction. Hybrid language mentor courses are free for military and DOD linguists.

To ensure we have received your application, please follow up with a email to the Assistant Director with a redacted copy (no PII, e.g. SSN) of the SMs most recent DLPT and/or OPI. If the SM has no formal CLPM, they should include the point-of-contact information for their first-line supervisor. Prior to the course, the prospective student must complete an Enrollment survey and a non-proctored (online) listening and reading pretest. An OPIc (OPI style) proctored test will be administered if choosing to go the speaking route. Once this is complete, the 新澳门六合彩资料 LTC staff will confirm the SM鈥檚 attendance at the course. Towards the end of the course, students are required to take a similar post-tests.
