Frequently Asked Questions

All SCPD programs were designed to help students prepare for the business world. By participating in our programs, students will have the opportunity to improve, develop, and fine-tune their soft skills (i.e. communication, teamwork, leadership, time management, etc.), participate in networking events, make professional connections before graduation, and give back to the community. Each program is extremely rewarding and a great way to enhance one's resume. However, the true benefits go beyond a student's time at 新澳门六合彩资料.

Join the SCPD Canvas to become a member, keep track of your workshop attendance in the BPC program, progress in the JMP, CS, and CMP, and access internship support and university resources.

It will vary depending on how much one intends to get involved. Students may participate in all four programs, a few, or only one. It is up to each student and how much they want to get involved.

*Please be mindful of the time commitments required for academics, work, and extracurricular activities (i.e. student organizations). Each program requires a specific time commitment, and students are responsible for ensuring that once they make a commitment, they will uphold the commitment.

Yes, SCPD offers a resume workshop through their Business Professional Certificate (BPC) program each semester (fall and spring). Students participating in SCPD's Junior Mentoring Program (JMP) and/or Corporate Mentoring Program (CMP), can also seek support and valuable advice on how to create a strong resume from their mentors.

If a student needs a resume template, resume resource, or resume review (appointment with a SCPD Staff Member), please refer to the , COB Internships Module.

*Note: Students should definitely add SCPD to their resume, as being a part of SCPD shows potential employers a student's involvement outside the classroom and their commitment to developing themself personally and professionally.

Students can make an appointment with any SCPD Staff Member .

*Note: Appointments can only be booked up to two weeks in advance. If nothing is showing as available, it means SCPD is fully booked. It is encouraged to check back the next day to see if any availability appears.

Although SCPD programs are mainly designed for undergraduate College of Business (COB) students, invitations extend to non-COB students and MBA candidates to participate in the Business Professional Certificate (BPC) workshops.

Should non-COB students, be interested in the Community Scholars program, they are encouraged to contact SCPD directly via email: scpd@csulb.edu.

Due to high demand, participation in our mentoring programs, Junior Mentoring Program (JMP) and Corporate Mentoring Program (CMP), is reserved for COB undergraduate majors and minors only.
