Nicolas Bordage
Nick Bordage studied International and European Law at University of Paris before moving to the U.S.where he graduated with a Bachelorin Film Production (Narrative and Cinematography) and Spanish Literature and Culture from California State University, Long Beach, and with a Masterin French Literature and Culture. Then, he transferred to Florida at University of Miami, Coral Gables where he studied French and Latin-American Literature, and Film in the Doctorate program. He wrote a unique monograph on the Argentinean filmmaker Gaspar ±·´Çé&²Ô²ú²õ±è;and his feature films.
Since 2008, Nick instructed a wide variety of courses and professional trainings in different institutions such as CSU, Long Beach, University of Miami, University of Redlands, Cerritos College, and Orange Coast College. He taught languages (French andSpanish), literature, pedagogy, second language acquisition, European cinema, French cinema, Spanish cinema, American film genres, and film production. Nick also dubbed to French numerous TV series such as O Clon, En »åó²Ô»å±ð&²Ô²ú²õ±è;±ð²õ³Ùá&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Elisa, Drenaje profundo, and Isidingo. He also shot music videos for artists such as Abysmal Dawn andVincent Raffard
Nick went to numerous art exhibitions and film festivals to present his short films. The Interview was screened at the Newport Beach Film Festival, the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, the ¶Ù¾±°ù±ð³¦³Ù´Ç°ù²õ’&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Guild of America, and the Milan’s International Film Festival. He also presented numerous papers atthe 26th Colloquium CIEF Thessaloniki in Greece: Gérard Étienne’s Gladys or the Antillean Romance: An Invitation to a Poetic Voyage asan Escape to Horror, the 20th and 21st Century French and Francophones Studies International Colloquium, CSU, Long Beach: Magyd Cherfi: A Sensitive Pencil to Serve a Discourseon Cultural Hybridity. Both articles were published in Éditions ³¢â€™H²¹°ù³¾²¹³Ù³Ù²¹²Ô.
Nick is working on two on going publications. A monograph: A Latin American in Paris, Gaspar ±·´Çé’s&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Cinema, a Challenge for France’s Social, Political and Moral Values anda novel/essay: Roger Bordage: The Early Memories of a Holocaust Survivor. Nick is also working on the script of his first feature film, a dark comedy on happiness.
