Andy Pham
Major: Kinesiology
Andy is a Kinesiology major with a concentration in Exercise Science from Palm Springs, CA. He became an SI leader because he understands how dense and difficult biology can be and wants to provide all the help and assistance he can for his students. He hopes to pursue a career in physical therapy and rehabilitation after graduating. In his free time, Andy enjoys working out, playing video games, and going on adventures with his friends!
Yasmin Abdrabo
Major: Heath Science
Yasmin is a Health Science: Community Health Education major from Rowland Heights, California. She became an SI Leader to help students better understand the course material by providing them with the resources and study skills needed to excel. Her goal is to help alleviate any stress that may come with the course. In the future, she plans to attend grad school to continue her pursuit of knowledge. In her spare time, she likes to go on runs, make beaded jewelry, and watch Netflix with her cat.
Andy Bonilla
Major: Pre-Nursing
Andy is a Pre-Nursing major born and raised in San Jose, CA. He became an SI leader to encourage and support students to bring out their fullest potential in the face of a challenging course. He hopes to become an ICU nurse and eventually work to become a nurse practitioner. Andy enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, and cooking.
Audrey Yoshimura
Major: Pre-Nursing
Audrey is a Pre-Nursing Major and hopes to earn her nursing degree to work in pediatrics. She became an SI leader because she understands the challenges that come with being a college student, she hopes to help other students by being a supportive and encouraging peer leader. In her free time, she is an avid reader, crafter, and occasionally visits the Rec Center to play basketball!
Genine Tugonon
Major: Kinesiology
Genine is a Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Exercise Science. Her career goal is to become a physical therapist. She became an SI Leader, because she wants to help students become more confident in their learning abilities and study habits.
Alison Hughes
Major: Microbiology
Alison is a Microbiology major with a minor in Chemistry from Seal Beach, CA. She became an SI leader because she understands how difficult microbiology can be as a subject and wants to provide her students with the helpful resources and study tools she has learned throughout her undergraduate career. As an SI leader, Alison鈥檚 main goal is to help her students develop lifelong study habits that extend beyond a single microbiology course. In the future, she plans to attend medical school and eventually become a practicing physician. In her spare time, Alison is involved in undergraduate microbiology research and loves hanging out with her cat.
EJ Mauricio
Major: Pre-Nursing
Edward or "EJ" is a Pre-Nursing major. The choice to become an SI Leader was inevitable since physiology is one of his passions. Considering the academic rigor of physiology, he hopes to inspire and instill confidence within other students that mistakes are a part of the learning process. He believes that learning and fun are never mutually exclusive. His ultimate career goal is to become a pediatric nurse. In his free time, he loves playing the guitar and can't say no to getting food with friends.
Kelsey Burns
Major: Psychology
Kelsey is a Psychology major with an interest in physiology. She became an SI Leader to provide a supportive environment to help students master difficult course content. She hopes to become a mental health nurse practitioner one day. In her free time, she likes to read and go on walks.
Alvin Nguyen
Major: Kinesiology
Alvin is a Kinesiology major with a focus in exercise science. After finishing his bachelor鈥檚 degree at 新澳门六合彩资料, he hopes to attend graduate school to get his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. His desire to become an SI Leader stems from his passion for helping others as physiology can be a difficult subject. In addition to this, he hops to expand further and build meaningful connections! During his free time, he enjoys golfing at the driving range, rock climbing, and attending music festivals!
Naiya Yuan
Major: Pre-Nursing
Naiya is a pre-nursing major from San Jose, CA, aspiring to pursue a master鈥檚 degree after graduation to become a nurse anesthetist. She chose to become an SI leader to create a supportive learning environment and create lasting friendships among students. In her free time, she enjoys dancing and exploring scenic hiking trails.
Esther Pham
Major: Molecular Cell Biology & Physiology
Esther is a Molecular Cell Biology & Physiology major with a Chemistry minor. After being an SI student for multiple subjects, she has experienced how much SI contributes to academic success and wanted to become an SI leader to help other students achieve their academic goals. In the future, Esther plans to attend optometry school to become an optometrist. She is interested in specializing in LASIK, myopia control, or sports vision but isn't sure yet of which one. Although Esther likes to spend her free time hanging out with her friends and going to coffee shops, she loves to spend it sleeping the most.
Brianna Falt
Major: Illustration
Brianna is an Illustration major with a concentration in Biomedical Illustration from Diamond Bar, CA. She became an SI leader in order to help inspire and motivate students in the subjects that also challenged her. Her dream career is to create a series of biomedical learning materials that this fun and engaging for students and teachers to use to aid in their exploration of the processes of the natural world. In her free time, she dances Hula, draws, cuddles her cats, and loves going to the ocean.
Jessica Melchor
Major: Pre-Nursing
Jessica is a Pre-Nursing major. She became an SI leader to pass down what she learned in her previous SI classes to future students. She also wants to provide them with not only advice/tips about the course but college in general! Her goal is to become a Registered Nurse (RN) and possibly specialize as a scrub nurse. She enjoys watching movies and painting in her free time.
Caitlin Arellano
Major: Pre-Nursing
Caitlin is a Pre-Nursing major from Long Beach, CA. She became a SI leader because Caitlin understands that Anatomy is an incredibly difficult course, and she aspires to see students succeed while having fun! Caitlin ultimately hopes to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. In her spare time, she adores reading, playing rhythm games, and spending time with her dog, Stuart!
